Tie Dyeing: My Newfound LOVE

When I say LOVE I say LOVE. HAHA. Ang gulo lang. To continue, I'm so inspired by Art Jam, it is an old show in Channel 2 but my aunt have CDs of it and I watched one where they taught about tie dyeing. According to Wikipedia.org, Tie Dye is a process of resist dyeing textiles or clothing which is made from knit or woven fabric, usually cotton; typically using bright colors.

My tie-dyed shirt. Still tied and letting it cool for a while. PATIENCE.

As I have watched the video, I am inspired to make a tie-dyed shirt. I watched some videos on youtube.com tutoring you how to make amazing tie-dyed shirts. Then, I saw some beautiful designs in the internet which I can't believe is a product of tie-dyeing. With that, I did my own tie-dyed shirt and had fun. Though, my desired outcome was not fulfilled because of some "tie" issues but again it is a trial and not for merchandise.

My tie-dyed shirt. Now untied. Letting it dry. Again, PATIENCE.

I suggest to anyone who can read this to try tie-dyeing because it is a lot of fun and your hard work will pay-off once you have seen your deed. Endorser much? HEHE.

Finished product. It was supposed to be a two spiral tie-dye design. One on the upper left part of the shirt (which was a success) and another was on the lower right part of the shirt (which is a failure). My friends told me it is a good shot for a beginner so I am quite happy. P.S. I wasn't able to take pictures of the plain white shirt I used, before it was dyed of course. I forgot but I bet you I really made this stuff.
